NTPC Vindhyachal Launches CII HR Excellence Assessment, Reinforces Commitment to People Excellence

Singrauli: NTPC Vindhyachal formally launched the CII HR Excellence Assessment during an inspiring inaugural session at its Administrative Building, marking a significant step toward setting new benchmarks in people excellence. The initiative underscores the organization’s commitment to innovation, continuous improvement, and best practices in human resource management.

The programme commenced with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony and the NTPC song, reflecting the organization’s rich legacy and core values. The CII assessment team was welcomed with customary gestures of a coconut and shawl. Sanjib Kumar Saha, Project Head (Vindhyachal), along with senior members of the management team, graced the occasion.

Addressing the gathering, Saha expressed gratitude to the CII assessors and reaffirmed that NTPC Vindhyachal remains committed to embracing constructive feedback and implementing improvements with an open and progressive approach.

The inaugural presentation was structured around four key themes, highlighting the station’s excellence journey. Ram Sewak Jaiswal, Deputy General Manager (EEMG), spoke on the Indian power sector and operational performance. Kamna Sharma, Deputy General Manager (HR), outlined HR initiatives and CSR activities. Saurabh Banodha, Deputy General Manager (IT), presented digital transformation initiatives, while Dr. Vartika Kulshrestha, Senior Specialist at Vindhya Hospital, elaborated on health and wellness programmes.

Lead Assessor Deepak A. Deshpande offered valuable insights into the CII HR Excellence Model and the assessment framework.

The session also featured four inspiring films, including a milestone film on NTPC’s journey, a corporate film on NTPC Vindhyachal, an emotional short film showcasing employees’ dedication, and “Shram Ki Roshni,” highlighting initiatives for contract workers.

The CII Assessment Team appreciated the station’s warm hospitality and expressed optimism for meaningful knowledge exchange. The programme was coordinated by Purnima Chaturvedi, Senior Manager (HR), and concluded with a vote of thanks by Ruma De Sharma, Head of Human Resources (Vindhyachal).
